We're a boutique travel agency founded in Cusco by people from Cusco. We don't sell packages — we build unique experiences, designed for every traveler who trusts us. Over 500 families have traveled with Andean Explore, and every one of them came back different.

Who We Are

We're a team of guides, mountaineers, biologists, and dreamers born and raised in Cusco. For more than seven years we've been designing trips that go beyond the postcard: real connections with the land, the communities, and the living history of Peru.

We believe traveling well is an act of respect — toward the place, its people, and yourself. That's why every itinerary we design is meant to leave a positive mark, and no negative one.

2018
The Beginning

Andean Explore is founded in Cusco with a team of 3 guides and the first Classic Machu Picchu tour. The first family traveled with us in August.

2019
Salkantay & Highland Expansion

We add the Salkantay Trek and the Sacred Valley to our catalog. We reach 50 travelers served during our first full year of operations.

2020
Resilience Through Hard Times

The pandemic paused travel, but not the spirit. We used this time to redesign all our itineraries, strengthen partnerships with communities, and prepare for the comeback.

2021
Reopening & Responsible Tourism

First in Cusco to reopen with full health protocols in place. We launch our community tourism program in the highlands of the Sacred Valley.

2022
Recognition & Growth

Official accreditation with MINCETUR. We launch the Lake Titicaca & Puno tour and begin operations in Arequipa. The team grows to 8 people.

2023
Amazon & Northern Destinations

We add the Peruvian Amazon and Huaraz to our offerings. We surpass 300 travelers a year and launch our carbon-neutral program.

2024
Digitalization & Community

A new digital platform, a partnership with 12 Andean communities for direct income distribution, and our first experiential archaeology program with tourists.

2025
Today: 500+ Travelers & Counting

More than five hundred travelers have explored Peru with us. 98% would come back — and many already have. We keep growing, but never at the expense of quality.
